I played a wedding in the Sunken Gardens this morning at 8:30am. Because of Como's public hours, you either have to get married before or after those hours.
It was a beautiful morning with a hazy morning sun streaming into the glass windows the fountain playing and the carp were just a bit restless, splashing playfully as the camera men were setting up.
The wedding was tiny as you might imagine with just the parents, bestman and matron of honor and the couple themselves.
The harp sounded wonderful as the music floated on the scented air and bounced off of the glass domed ceiling. I really love playing in there but haven't figured out how to get a patron to hire me to play there everyday.
At the end of the ceremony and recessional the newly weds had decided to do their first dance on the little balcony overlooking the garden. They chose "All I Ask is You" from the Phantom of the Opera.
It was a nice touch
and a fitting finale to a sweet event on the first day of the fair.
